About Me
MEET OUR FOUNDER
I am Megan Singleton, founder and CEO of Aspire to Intern (Write Frame, LLC). I am a proud two-time HBCU graduate of Spelman College and Savannah State University, respectively.
I began interning at 16 and went on to secure three additional internships by the time I graduated college. I also began my federal career as an Environmental Scientist as an intern. These experiences were invaluable, but as a black woman in STEM, the experience of often being the only person of color “in the room” inspired me to transition to education to cultivate more scientists of color.
I have served in various roles: science teacher, STEM college recruiter and admissions counselor, and federal education grant manager. My work has primarily focused on supporting and advocating for black, low-income, and first-generation college populations. I also have an innate ability for writing, which I have applied through editing resumes, cover letters, college essays, and everything in between for clients for over a decade.
As the Internship Coach, I aim to combine my writing acumen and career experiences to improve academic and professional outcomes for students of color and positively impact diversity in the critically needed fields of STEM.
The Story of Write Frame, LLC
"Well, why you gotta do it for them?", she said. "Do it for yourself!"
“I had let rejection convince me that I was somehow unqualified. Lie #1! I also believed that the only way I could do this work was to be supported by a large, prominent corporation. Lie #2! My Spelman sis, conversely, was speaking truth. If I genuinely believed in the work, why was I waiting for someone to ALLOW me to do it?”
